Jan Sheppard

Jan Sheppard has practised since 1998 as an existential-phenomenological individual, couples and family analyst, within both the private and public sector. He has held four NHS posts as Adult psychotherapist (East Sussex NHS Trust, North East Essex NHS Trust, North East London NHS Trust, Newham Primary Care Trust), and maintained a private practice since 2000.

 

Jan currently holds posts as Lecturer in Psychotherapy (Regents College School of Psychotherapy and Counselling Psychology, London) Visiting Lecturer and Clinical Supervisor (New School of

Psychotherapy and Counselling, London) and Core Tutor in Psychotherapy (Matrix Psychotherapy, Norfolk), and has published papers on existential analysis. He is registered as a psychotherapist with the UK Council of Psychotherapy and as a Senior Psychotherapist and Counsellor with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. Jan is currently furthering his studies at The Institute of Group Analysis, London.

 

Having lived and worked in East London for 14 years, Jan now runs City & East Therapy Practice from three locations: Walthamstow, Bow and Canary Wharf.

City & East Therapy Practice is an opportunity for Jan to combine his experience and knowledge gained from employment within two NHS Trusts in East London working in hospital settings and general practice, with his experience of running a busy private practice to professionals in Canary Wharf since 2000.

 

City & East Therapy Practice aims to serve the diverse psychological needs of communities living and working in East London, from Walthamstow to Canary Wharf.
